The art of letter writing has been a beloved tradition in the Arab world for centuries, providing an intimate platform for storytelling. In the Arab world, storytelling has been an integral part of the culture, influencing everything from poetry to politics. And letter writing has been no exception.
During the first-ever TedinArabic summit that will be held in Doha, Qkenz will be hosting a letter lounge, inspired by UK-based Conversational Architect Claire Medcalf & Post Quarantine, Letters Anonymous and more we hope to encourage the dissemination of ideas from the TedinArabic summit to the world.
In a world where information and ideas are exchanged in a matter of seconds, letter writing offers a timeless reminder of the importance of storytelling. It is a testament to the power of the written word to evoke emotions, spark imagination, and bring people together.
Visitors to the lounge will be able to scribe a thought, doodle or reflection with a complete stranger, whilst also nominating themselves or a loved one to receive one! The lounge will be a great opportunity for us to showcase the power of time banking and enable people to sign up or learn more about how they could set up their own time banks in other Arab countries!
Time & Date: We are looking for a 2-hour commitment on March 18th & 19th
