Hello, I am Leila M. Great to e-meet you!
I have lived and worked in Doha since 2008 and am passionate about building and contributing to vibrant people-driven eco-systems, projects and activities that inspire & enable people, communities, and organizations to thrive, and grow.
I love living in Qatar and have always treasured the diversity of the community that lives here and makes life so enriching. I also value the opportunity to contribute and make a difference, learn and grow personally and professionally through my work at Qatar Foundation and its incredible ecosystem.
I am proud to be an active founding member of Qmunity Kenz & really look forward to meeting, sharing, learning, and unlearning with you and other members individually and collectively.
Background:
I am a career-long advocate of using culture, media, and innovation as a force for good. I cut my teeth in the production of large-format TV shows for the Middle East including Big Brother Arabia & The Investor on MBC. It was in fact a TV show that bought me here – Qatar Foundation's Edutainment show Stars of Science when life as I knew it would never be the same again and my passion for social impact was firmly planted.
I am a proud fellow from the School of Social Entrepreneurs, and am evangelical about the power of social innovation to change the Arab world! When left to my own devices I can be found championing the importance of giving young Arab thought leaders a 'seat at the table' to drive regional change and advocating for the adoption & integration of time banking into our everyday lives from school to retirement!
